4.5 hours of meetings!

4.5 hours of meetings!

FW's parents are in, and we spent the bulk of yesterday in meetings with the florist and caterer.

Richie from James Cress was knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. Honestly, the visit with him was great, but (being a guy and all) these were all decisions that FW and FMIL were making. FFIL and I just sorta kept looking over at each other and shrugging.

At one point, I suggested sunflowers b/c their FW's favorite. That was about all I said. But in the meantime, pretty much all the floral arrangements are set (yay checkmark!).

Next up, a real serious sit down with the caterer. B/C my FILs won't be in town till the wedding, they wanted to knock out everything- and so we did- rehearsal time, procession order, the order of the day, where everything is happening at the shul, the menu, placecards (which FW will DIY), linens, napkins, all that.

I'm drained. How am i taking a break from it this weekend? Going to a wedding in Boston!

Yeah, menu, alcohol, dessert. That's pretty much where I chimed in.

Yay - someone else using James Cress !

I loved Richie - he and I just 'clicked' for lack of a better description. Had me laughing at our initial meeting when he introduced himself to FH, and then told him to sit down and be quiet, because he and I would be doing all the talking. FH loved that, although I did ask his opinion every once in a while just to make him feel included.

Enjoy Boston this weekend.

Good going. Lots of things off the list. Enjoy the wedding. It's always fun to go when you are planning one yourself.

I was a little concerned as it was one of our 'hall choices' but he was really great at our first meeting. Hillarious- knows his stuff and is also at ease with everybody. Knew what kind of vibe we had going on and didn't belittle us or try to oversell anything.
