5 days until the RSVP and still waiting for 114 people to respond...

I am having my fi's mom make calls. We are missing ENTIRE families. At this point, I need to start planning alternate arrangements if these people are not attending.

Any thoughts?

wow! i'm sorry, but hopefully everyone is just running late and will have them sent back withinthe next few days! and i would also have your fi's mom start calling! good luck!

Ouch! That must hurt. I'd be freaking out because it is a lot of people but sometimes people can be so inconsiderate and wait until the last minute. Hopefully, the response cards will start coming in the next few days. It is a good idea that your mom is going to help you and calls. How many people are you having at your wedding?

I didnt have as large of a guest list as you..but when it was getting closer to te deadline..I still hadnt heard from over half of our people..I was getting nervous..some people really do wait until the last minute..some wait until teh due date to evne send it out..so you may get some a week later..I dont know why poeple do that!

Give it till the response date and a week after before making calls. People are just slow, but eventually most will come in. We were getting them until two weeks after the response. Some people put them aside and think they have all this time to respond and then forget, but eventually they remember and send them. You'll probably get a lot this week!! Good Luck!!

Any time I see posts like this I think...what is wrong with people!!! Seriously how hard is it to fill out a card and put it in the pre stamped envelope and mail it!
Sorry but this just makes me mad. I am sure I will go through the same thing when my time comes and I will be mad then.
I am sure there will be plenty of people from your 114 coming they are just late in sending in responses. Don't stress yet.

you should wait for phone calls until after the RSVP....many come on that day or soon after....

My god--don't people have any concern or class when they know how important this is. I would make phone calls immediately--I had to do the same thing. Good luck
