So we have a choice between having 5 options (sirloin, chicken, shirmp, salmon, veggie) and 9 options... all of the mentioned plus veal, duck, porkchop and instead of sirloin, it's a filet.
The difference per person is about 5.
We are thinking of doing the 5 choices to save some money... what do you ladies think?

5 is good... and you can always ask them to substitute one of your five if you don't like the option.
We had the same dilemma... but it was 7 vs 11 I had to alsmot slap FH across the face and be like HELLOO! 7 is enough!!!

i would do the 5, i know when there is to many choices i get so confused on what to get. and if it save u money then go for that. 5 is more than enough for people to choose from.

5 is definitely plenty! Most places offer 3, so 5 is more than the norm.

Only one veggie option either way? Then 5 is definitely enough...
We did a buffet with so many options it was kinda crazy!!! But also really very very good because everyone got to have some of everything.
I get very happy when I think about all the food at our wedding. lol!

We actually have 9 options at ours, the price was right so we didn't even think of requesting less.

The price was pretty good for the 9 choices, but they do have a smaller menu!!! They don't mention it unless you ask!!!! It's still a good menu, but just less $$$
I ahve 8 choices, but I never expected that many. I was looking for 4 (three plus vegetarian)

Of course they wouldn't. Clever! I still say go with the 5 options! If I could go back and change it, I probably would- that'd be about $1k savings.
