$5 gift update! (thank you ladies) *with pix*
Thank you for all of the cheap/quick gift ideas! I went a little over ($5.38 + tax) but I think it's close enough!
Recap: the women in FH's family do 'speed gifts' for xmas where they buy everyone the same $5 gift and then everyone opens them at the same time. This is my first year spending xmas with FH's family so I'm learning all of their new traditions...
I found out that FH's mom doesn't have pierced ears and he wasn't sure about his grandma, so earrings were out. In the end I bought these cute little jewelry box/makeup holders with cute exteriors and velvety insides ($3.50 each), and paired them with a mini nail polish. I prob could have gotten the nailpolishes a little cheaper ($2.50 each, buy 1 get one 50% off) but they were there, and it wasn't worth driving to walmart or the $$ store to save $2 total.
Most of them are neutral colors but I did throw in one turquoise and one hot pink polish because I thought they looked cute with the boxes.
I can't wait to see what kind of random crap I end up with... especially since FH's grandma lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere. I'll have to post pictures when I get back on Tuesday. (I expect we'll be without internet from Sat AM --> Tues PM)
Here are some pix (my cat REALLY likes them):
