MAY 2009 is the date. I need
a reception for 75-125 people.
No more than $60 p/person
Atfternoon is ok

Shandon Court in East Islip has a catering room (Court Room) that can fit up to 185. There Sapphire Wedding package is $64.95 + 18% grat + tax. Since that is for a wedding I am sure that there standard banquet fee will be some where around your price range. We booked our RD there and dealt with Sarah, she was awesome! The food and service there are really good as well.

Shandon Court

So now you are planning a wedding and a 50th Anniversary Party...do you see a new career in your future!!!???

I am always the planner!! I have thought about it many times!

Thank you for the S. C info, only thing is,, the stairs might not work for the older people. I dont think they have an elevator either.

You don't need an elevator for the Court Room (bigger room) it's on the down stairs level!!!
The Jury Room (the one upstairs) says up to 100 guests but I personally think that would be tight if you wanted a nice sized dance floor.

And like JBoothIn said...try Captain Bills...all there rooms are on the main level and the food is FAB!!!

chateau la mer. Its in your price range, thats around the price they'll charge for a party, not wedding obviously. The food is so good, nice space also

Try the Meadow Club in Port Jefferson. We did my parents 35th Anniversary there. We did the smaller room and did a buffet on a Sat afternoon I think it was around $60 -- there was more then enough food and that included centerpieces.

Three Village Inn is nice. I was quoted less then $60 pp for a bridal shower there. Tall Grass is also very nice and I know they would do an afternoon for around that.

The other one is the Setauket Neighborhood House. The property is very nice, but you just rent the room, tables, chairs from them and then have to do everything else -- cater food, decorate, linens.

I was going to suggest Irish Coffee Pub also...
