A Coworker and I started the couch to 5k and wanted to do a 5k in OCT> I want one near the vinyards.... but we decided to see if maybe this year (if theres enough time to organize) will start our own 5k American heart associate run. Which is what her dad and my sister passsed away of.
Would anyone come down and support. We would need to guarantee a certain amount of people to get the roads closed and what not. There will be a donation fee of 5 or 10 dollars that would go directly to american heart association. 100%. Obviously I dont need a full commitement but I wanted to see who would come out and support our run if we get this approved!!!!!

I am actually doing the Damon 5K Run at Yankee Stadium in a couple weeks...
I would definitely be interested and I know a few more girls that would be too!

where ever we can get approved for.... we are hoping to get approved this year for one for my sister and her dad.... if not next year...
but then this year we are doing one out near the vinyards then celebrating with WINE!

I know that my MS team has walked at belmont and jones beach so they will prob approve it if you wanted to try them!!!!!

My FH, his cousins and I participate in the jones beach breast cancer walk every year. I'm pretty sure they'd be interested in doing this as well. Let me know the details once you find them out. I can guarantee about 6 people so far.

I could do a walk...so not a runner...but my friend would totally go! She does them all the time and she's not too far from there.

I did the 5k at Martha clara Vineyards for the american heart association in May. It was really cool. you can join as an individual or as a team. you set a fund raising goal and have people contribute, which they can do right online. Peopel had t-shirts made up with names of loved ones who have passed away from heart disease adn other cool tributes that they ran with. It was a great day. They usually have entertainment and food after!!
