I just came back from my 6w1d sonogram and the dr. didn't see the heartbeat. He said that was normal and usually there's a 50/50 chance you see the heartbeat at 6wks. He said def by 7wks.
I just wanted to know how many weeks were you when you saw the heartbeat?

I was at 7 weeks when I went for my first sonogram. My dr. doesn't see you until then because of the fact that it's so hard to see the heartbeat before then. Try not to worry too much about it. Hope everything's ok.

I went today... I am 7 weeks 1 day. We saw a heartbeat.

Thanks, that puts my mind at ease.
I'm just trying to take every precaution possible since I've had 2 miscarriages in the past 1 1/2yr.
My first pregnancy I saw the heartbeat at 6wks.
I probably won't stop worrying till I see and hear the heartbeat.

maria I did felt the same way today. My heart was racing as he stuck the thingy in there. Then as quickly as he did it he said, yep, theres the sac, the fetus and the heartbeat. I was like HUH??? you found it already? Darn docs know their sh*t!

thanks everyone. I was so nervous during the sono.
I called my drs office this morn and asked if they would send me for another blood test, just to see if me levels are where they should be. At least that will hold me over till my appt next wed.

See that's the thing, I think I'm only 5 1/2 weeks, because my cycle was 32 days, not 28 days like the dr.s office calculates by.
The last blood work I received was on the 5/21 and my HCG levels was in the high 5000's. The girl said my progesterone was 144, but I think she read it wrong cause usually the levels range from 12-30.

I don't know what those levels mean, but my doctor said I was 9 weeks preg at my first visit and I only thought I was at 6 weeks. Finally I went for my sono and she told me I was 7. I think it takes a while for them to figure all that out, lol... at least for me it did. Give it another week, I'm sure everything is fine!

Well I got good news..my drs office called to tell me that my hcg levels are upto 39,000 and progesterone is at 119. According to them that's very good.
Pheww...now I can have a great weekend.
