my family loves nick, they couldnt be happier. and i mean like, every single person in my family, lol they've never liked any of my boyfriends ever

They both were very happy. My mom almost dislocated my finger lol and my dad was like what took you so long lol.

my real dad wasn't happy, my mom and step-dad were ok with it
no one was really excited or over the moon with happiness on my side of the family

All of my family was really happy...I was actually surprised at how happy my father was...FH said that he cried when he asked him for my hand in marriage!

EVERYONE KNEW .... lol he had asked my dad for my hand .... and he called my mom and told her he was going to do it in march that he had just bought the ring ..... (he cant keep a secret he didit the same night )..... and for the whole week before he was sendiing pics to my sis about potential rings

EVERYONE KNEW .... lol he had asked my dad for my hand .... and he called my mom and told her he was going to do it in march that he had just bought the ring ..... (he cant keep a secret he didit the same night )..... and for the whole week before he was sendiing pics to my sis about potential rings
lol, glad to know someone else was the only one who didnt know. apparently FH bought the ring in like, may and was storing it at his moms house so i wouldnt find it at his apartment. he asked my dad for permission but asked that my dad not tell my mom, that way i could tell her and we could bond (mom and i tend to have a very love hate relationship) but everyone, and i mean EVERYONE else knew, lol

I think my entire extended family was happier than we were!! I had two of them jumping up and down screaming Everyone's really excited. I also happen to be the first of 14 grandchilren to get married so that might have a little to do with it.

on my mom's side i'll be the first grandchild married, and i have two older cousins. my older male cousin doesnt care, but the older female (who's the oldest), lets just say she's not exactly thrilled i'm getting married before her

I was really shocked at how happy my family was about it, especially my mom, she has been really great through this whole thing sooo far

My mom figured it would happen, but she wasnt to happy about me asking him.
MY GRANDMOTHER's reaction was 'Grandma, I'm engaged' 'Thats great honey... to who?' 'to FH' 'uh oh, I was afraid of that'

THEY ALL KNEW!!!!! lol they were so happy! My parents threw us a mini engagement party the next day when we got home form the city with all my family my FH's parents and brothers and a few family friends and our friends. It was awesome they got us a cake and champagne glasses, bride to be and groom to be pins lol they went all out and not to mention about 24 bottles of bubbly
