I loveeeeee that I get to decorate for xmas!! Its my favorite. However, this year I told my family and friends NO ONE is getting any gifts lol i'm completely broke

i'm so lucky we do secret santa with our extended family- i only have to buy for 1 person and 2 kids! but my immediate family will see the grinch in me and they can either understand or not understand, either way they're are getting very little gifts

I said the same thing..my parents even agreed. My mom said maybe even doing like a secret santa with the family and making the limit like $30 or something..something small...
I'll probably get FH something though, cause i know he'll sneak in a gift for me somehow lol

My mom emailed me a while back and said that we should all cut back on gifts this year. I agree!!!

FH will get me a ton of things, I know ... he wants a $600 saw .... I think I MIGHT get it from lowe's or home depot and get the credit card so that I can pay it off all year :) they are always showing that commercial, no interest for a year or something for purchases over $300 ... that is all he is getting for both his bday (11/10) and christmas though.

My family does secret santa too, but FH's doesn't ... so we have to buy for his grandparents, parents, brother, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and three kids. Thankfully we only see his mom's side of the family on christmas so the rest don't get presents. :) There are like 40 on that side!!!

I have started to put $$ aside with each paycheck so that I can pay for christmas.

LMAO. the good thing is that FH and I decided to set a small limit for the two of us and my family and his know we are saving for a wedding, so no one expects the 'usual' christmas (I have this insanse sickness where I like to buy people whatever they want and end up spending so much money). Hopefully next year we'll be back to normal

YAY! I don't know if this year I get lucky by taking Xmas off. My schedule is unpredictable.

Us too. For Christmas gifts I decided to get everyone a picture frame and put a pic of that person in it. (i love taking pics) Its cheap and its meaningful. We cannot go crazy this year!
