Oh my look at me posting so late..i forgot to sign on this morning and post

So its yucky Monday and we all have to go to work…lets vent about work…get it off your chest

**What are your Top 5 Peeves about your job?**

i will name top 5 about my past jobs, since i happen to enjoy my job right now


-lack of communication
-hubby/wife team, who had a TERRRBILE marriage
-control freaks
-bosses that make you feel dumb
-talking about other employees in a poor manner to other employees
-calling employees 'retarded'

ughhh i really could go on!

oh boy.. your opening a can of worms..

1. I HATE that even though we are supposed to be helping children, politicals gets in the way of that ALL the time!!!!
2. I don't like my co-worker
3. I don't like the fact that adoptions get finalized just for #'s and stats purposes.. forget if the kid should really be with that family
4. I hate that the rest of the agency doesn't see the benefit in referring more clients to us
5. I Hate that after meeting with co-workers from other sites explaining what my program does they then ask a few months later, 'wait.. what do you guys do? Oh really? I didn't know you were around.'




6. oh yes... i am way over qualified! lol

ahh

- i am way under payed for what i do
- i am way over qualified for this job...but i feel stuck for now
- they claim to not have money for raises and bonuses...but they are remodeling all our floors and ppl travel like crazy
- i wish there were more ppl my age working here
- just about Everything bothers me here!

I actually enjoy my job but I do have some peeves…

1.a few of my co-workers. Their laziness and annoyingness (is that even a word?) make me want to jump out the window
2.the fact that the break room is sooooooo far and when I’m dying of thirst I have to walk all the way over there
3.the street light by my job…it turns green every like 9 minutes and lets about 2 cars turn so you sit at it for 3-4 cycles
4. they block LIW, Youtube, facebook, Victoria’s secret and other good websites
5.the system I work on daily runs on windows 98 therefore it is ancient and causes lots of problems but it would cost too much money and take too much time to upgrade it. For now I guess that’s job security

as others said i really love my job but my pet peeves are:

1. rude & annoying co-workers
2. people who act stupid so i have to do their job too
3. annoying clients

I dont really dislike my job or the employess who work here just sometimes:

* people are extremely lazy
* Someone ate my fruit from the fridge
* There is no heat ( thank god its summer)
* People only contact me when its payday and they need me to make it easy for them to pick up their checks
*PEOPLE ARE LAZY !!!

I'm gonna go 5 things from my internship, where I am for now...my job is great, there wouldn't even be five things to list.

1. my supervisor is a moron, she micromanages eveything, but is too stupid to remember what she said 10 minutes ago
2. Everyone belittles everyone else
3. The office is so small we basically sit on top of each other.
4. The volunteers think they run the place
5. No one gives me enough work to do :(

people that ask the same question over and over and OVER again

people that are condecending

people that are perpetually late to meetings

i'm sure there's more....

-spiders falling from the ceiling!!!!
-rude ppl who dont even say hello when they walk past
-ppl who call my office and get really mad at me and yell at me bc i dont speak spanish
-being everyones beotch in the office but dont get paid enough for it!
-when ppl talk to me or others like we are idiots!

i really can't complain about my job b/c i have great hours and work with really great co workers, but probably the only things that annoy me:

1. types of students i have to deal with sometimes (if they are irate or extremely undecided that they sit in my office forever)

2. dealing with parents at times (a.k.a. 'helicopter parents')

3. parking- during the semester if you get here after 9am you are SOL finding a spot. If you do find a spot, you are parked in a tiny little spot so small that for sure you will have dents/scratches on your car.

wait let me change one or two:

*people who have no common sense
*people who speak to me like i'm an idiot meanwhile they have no idea what their talking about
*people who ask what the person on the phone wants (hi- I answer the phone I don't have conversations with customers or FAMILY members that ask specifically for you and refuse to talk to me- it's simple go to the phone, pick it up and say 'what do you want' rather then making ME talk to them, tell you what they said then have you have me ask them a question where I give you the answer and its basically a conversation that I don't have to be included in!)
*people who feel the need to watch EVERYTHING I do and correct me on things that are already correct
*people who put on the AC- walking around still wearing winter coats! KNOWING that I'm ALWAYS cold!

1-worrying about getting out when i'm supposed to
2-not exactly paid well
3- my co-teacher is l a z y
4- when the kids have 'off' days and drive me nuts
5- my co-teacher is laaaazzzzyyyy lol

just wanted to share- I just SMACKED myself really hard because of my stupid boss!


We service the scales at the post offices, and now the post offices need to get district approval or something so rather then just printing out the service form I have to make up a quote and fax it then my svc tech has to bring it with him along with the service form when he goes (after we get approval) well mastic and shirley are both due this month, I spoke to both locations and faxed the quotes. Mastics fax wasn't working so she called to tell me she hadn't gotten it, I tried again and called back to let them know its still not working, the women i was talking to wasn't available so i spoke with a guy who said the price is find and he wants to sched an appt (we don't sched appts usually- we just get the ok to go and show up when we're in the area- i hate doing it like that) i told him i'm waiting on shirley to call back and we'll do them the same day. but i forwarded the call to my boss... TELLING HIM THE EXACT SAME THING. he KNEW I printed out the quote (which in our accounting program is a service order, but when its an annual visit I use a different form- its hard to explain) and that I'm waiting to hear from shirley before I print the report (service form) so that it doesn't get lost in the office while waiting.

so fast foward about 2 hours. he walks up to me while I'm heading to the back to get my tea from the microwave and says 'did you print out a service report for mastic?' I said no I told you before I'm waiting for shirley and he YELLED (he rarely yells) that he told me to make one... meanwhile i was planning on smacking my head into a wall (lightly)- i tend to do this because of the stupidity of my co-workers (i work for a family- they're all pretty dumb- everyone who's been here says so) but i was too far from the wall so i decided to smack myself in the head... well he had gotten me so mad that i wasn't thinking and flat out smacked myself in the forhead! so now i have a hand print!...

sorry- just had to share!

1. when there's too much workload and not enough time

2. When they screw up the marketing - then make us change it all 2 days later cause they realize they screwed up

3. When you have to deal with an angry customer

4. When the customers are very slobbish and leave piles of clothes inside out not on hangers on the floor of the fitting room

5. The backroom is too small

I really like my job so I really had to think about this...

I have probably way more then 5 but here are a few :

1. that the person who sits in the next office sings with the radio and she def shouldnt.
2. that I am constently watched and told to stay out of trouble.
3. that I am treated like a 2 year old
4. answering the same questions to the same people over and over again
5. noone reading my emails or mailings properly.

I actually like my job- so this is kind of hard

1- my coworker who disappears for 45 min at a time and when she come back she is on the phone

2- The crazy woman in my office who swears her cubicle is haunted

3-the same crazy women who rearranges the chairs in the ladies room and always puts on in front of the door so someone can fall over it

Can only think of 3

-my boss
-sitting infront of a computer all day long
-my boss
-working late
-being told what to do, by my boss lol

* Kids who just don't get it
* Annoying foster parents
* Biological parents that don't care about their children
* Paperwork
* Teenagers that think they know everything
