OK so I wont get into specifics but RH says tables can fit 10-12. However FH side is light a few more people dropped out but they want to keep the tables as is...there are 2 tables of 7, a few 8, a few 9, etc. Is this bizarre? I hope not...I dont care but the guest may be like ok???

i think it's fine. We may have to set it up the same way depending on who winds up coming. I don't think the guests are gonna worry about it!!

I don't think most people will notice. Not everyone stays seated all night anyway, so some people that are dancing or conversing won't be around and their table will look empty too.

Not at all! We are allowed to vary from 8-12 and I want to aim for 8-10...gives the guests more room. You know how it is to be at a packed table...they'll be happy!

Us too. FH has a really small family and some are not even coming (which is totally another story). His tables are all different some have 8 and some have 12. Its fine.

we had the same problem. Our tables fit 10-12, but we actually had one table of 6. Only two had 12 and the rest were between 8 & 10. You could never tell!

I think you'll be fine. No one will even notice. I went to a wedding at Floral Terrace last year (which was beautiful by the way) and there were two completely empty tables and my table had only 3 of us at it, but 10 chairs. That was a little weird. Apparently she was under the minimum by quite a few and they still put out the min. # chairs. I can only assume they were last minute cancellations.

its ok - we didnt have 12 ppl at any tables - i think its ridiculous, people would be tighly squeezed in at 12 per table. so we tried doing 10 at most, we had 1 with 11 - 2 with 8 people and a couple with 9
you are ok!!
the only thing that sück*s about that is that if you have 8 people at a table and then one couple doesnt come it brings it down to 6 :( that was my fear but only 2 people didnt come to the wedding so it was fine :)

I had to set up some of my tables with 5 people on it - yes....some have 5 or 6 only b/c we couldn't squeeze these people anywhere else especially with people they don't know. Our RH even told us that he would rather us have 2 tables of 6 and 6 instead of one with 12....we needed to fill in the room too......don't worry about it at all.

We actually ended up with only 8 at my parents table!! But that was because my two grandpas couldnt make the wedding at the last minute. No one but me noticed there were only 8 at the table. LOL.

we had two tables on the light side. a table of 6 and a table of 5. 3 people backed out at the last minute and we didn't want to hassle the rh to put the two tables together.
