This is my problem...

Take your lunch to work. If you're spending $8 a day on a sandwich, Coke and an ice-cream cone, that's $2,000 a year, assuming two weeks out for vacation. And that's not counting those in-between snacks of chips, pretzels and cappuccino. Figure out what you spend per day on lunch; then on the days you brown bag it, put that amount into your DPA.

-----------------

I spend so much money on lunches and snacks...I've started bringing my lunch a few days a week...I get so sick of this though...and I'm getting sick of peanut butter!!!!!

We spend $$ on BS, and its so true. Lunch can cost an extra $100 bucks a week.

I hear ya, its a small sacrifice buts it worth it

Drive at the speed limit. Traveling at 65 mph versus 55 mph increases fuel consumption by a whopping 20 percent. (GM Motor Club)

I can't believe this number!!!! I have to slow down!!!

This is a great article Wacky & it does work!
About a year ago my DH I bought nice travel mugs & we have an awesome coffee pot & I buy the creamers we like. Everyday we bring coffee & breakfast from home, most days DH brings lunch & a snack, very often I do too-although my boss treats me for lunch sometimes.
We have saved so much money doing this & I don't miss Starbucks or whatever AT ALL! Plus I lost 10 lbs when I stopped eating dunkin dounuts & other crap for breakfast!
I also cut coupons & plan our meals for the week ahead. I sit with my coupons, the store circular & my cookbooks once a week to make a plan. I once saved $65 on a $140 grocery bill! My weekly average is $35 on $140-it adds up fast.

I know...it's so crazy the money we spend on BS. DH and I have stopped getting Dunkin Donuts coffee for the train ride to work...we now drink our morning coffee at home.

We're really trying to get our acts together and do more food shopping and trying to plan ahead for meals...we're really good at coming home and ordering in or going out to dinner. After a long day at work and everything that needs to be done at home, it's just so easy to fall into this trap.

My new job they said If I eat at my desk I don't have to take lunch. Do you know I now bring my lunch everyday. We have a house already but wow its a lot of money I am saving. If only I could get my husband to do this.

I would pack his lunch but he is greedy and packing his lunch entails prepraring food for an army and I just don't have the time most days.
