FMIL emailed fh SEVENTY SIX songs that she wants played at the wedding!!!!!!!!!!!
She is giving us some money towards the DJ and so we decided it would be a nice gesture to ask if there was any song she wanted on the must play list....
she emailed him 76

thankfully FH wrote back saying she went overboard and that he told the DJ three songs they had verbally spoken about on the phone when he had the conversation asking her for must play songs.
this women is driving me insane!!!!
she is now complaining that she wants more of those songs played - and even told FH what song she wants to dance with him to (FH told her no and that he already picked out their song)
moral of the story - dont try to be nice...its your wedding dont get too many people involved!!!

This is exactly what I'd do. Id tell her yes then only choose a few and blame it on the DJ after

That's INSANE!

FMIL wanted 3 irish songs at my wedding played (she told me this a year ago though) and I kind of stammered and told her 1-2 would be a better idea. I love her, but that's a little overboard IMO. Especially since I'm not even a little bit irish and have a huge italian family

Learned that the hard way....always go with what YOU want, no matter who has a problem or who's paying for it. You'll almost always end up regretting taking people's opinions into account

My fmil requested a song to be played...but then she tried to wear white to my wedding and slammed a door in my face when fh told her no, soooooo I think her song request is going on the DO NOT play list now

omg 76 is like, the entire night!

A wise bride on here once said 'eat a bag of poo' ... I say you should tell FMIL to do that with her 76 songs!
