77 days to plan my wedding.. and I'm out of state, too!

Prayers/advice needed lol

My venue is Glen Island Harbour Club (very excited and somewhat terrified)

Congrats. Being 185 miles away, I hired a DOC, to help take away some of the stress. Has helped so far.

Take all of the help you can get from family and friends.

Most vendors are happy to work with an out of state bride. We found vendors willing to condense or forego meetings depending on their schedule and our schedule.

Its definitely doable. Take notes on everything and make lists and stay organizes and you'll be fine!

it can totally be done!! our entire engagement will consist of less than 70 days ;)

the biggest time saver for me was to only consider/contact a few of each vendor-instead of 20 rh's, 3..instead of 10 photogs we talked to 1..etc.

prioritize

get your dress soon!!

This! I'm only about 2 hrs away, but it's still been tough.

Great advice all around.

I've already had my dress for a few months (THANK GOD)

My catering and cake are included with my venue, and for my florist I have to use one of their required vendors. I already have a photographer. Already looking into limo companies.

My biggest issue is DJ SERVICES. Why can't I find one under $1500? It's absolutely ridiculous. Anyone have any recommendations?

Just make list and take one project at a time. You can totally do it!!!

For our DJ we used MRG productions in Mineola. They were great. We paid $1700 but we had a couple of extras. DJ and MC and we had added lighting and a gobo. I think you can totally get a package with them for under $1500. Marty is the owner and hes great to work with. I would definitely consider them. They did an awesome job for our wedding.
