8 simple rules

Re: 8 simple rules

This was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I think they dealt very realistically with death and how people react. I loved that Kate got mad when her mother said 'It's God's will'. I had that same reaction when my mom passed away and I could completely relate. You could tell that for all the actors the grief was real. I don't know what the show will be like without him, but they did him proud tonight!

I was out while it was on, but my mom and dad were watching. I happened to call them afterwards, and my dad was so saddened by the episode that he had to get on the phone just to tell me that he loved me. It really hit home for him, as both of his parents have been dead for a long time.

I wish I'd seen it now!

I think I only saw the show once or twice...but I watched tonight...OMG so sad...I can't imagine what it is like to lose a parent at that age!! or your HUSBAND!! OMG...I was choked up the entire time...

I told John he had to quit smoking immediately, b/c if he died young and left me I would kill him....

this is my worse fear...since DH's father died young...and his mom was left pregnant (with DH) and with a toddler at age 30!!!

I cried through the entire episode.

I couldn't watch it. I tried for about 5 minutes but I was seriously crying, so I had to change the channel... I put on Fear Factor instead, I needed something totally stupid to replace it. I am SUCH a crier, I cry at Disney movies and game shows, so this was just WAY too much for me.

I absolutely loved John Ritter...

Within the first 5 minutes I was seriously crying. Reading all of your responses is making me tear up. It was so so sad!

All of the actors did a fabulous job!

OH MY GOD!!! That was the MOST depressing episode of ANY show I have seen in my life! I had to watch it later at night, but like nrvbrd said after the first 5 mins, I was bawling. I was hysterical throughout the entire show!!!

I'm not sure if I can watch that show anymore though. I feel bad, but it's just too sad. As soon as I put it on I got a lump in my throat because I just knew what was going to happen!!!

And his FINAL column!!! MY GOSH! I have chills throughout my body right now just thinking of it!

omg---I had taped it and was watching it @ midnight---I BAWLED the entire time. there was a pile of tissues on my floor next to my bed. i was so upset, that after i watched it, I got up & I knew my dad was still awake, I went in the living room and just hugged him and cried like an idoit. i told him never to leave me and he said he didn't plan on it anytime soon! so he made me smile with his corny jokes--which is why the eposiode made me cry so bad--the part where they said he would say anything to get a laugh, not matter how corny--that's my dad!! I think everyone felt like calling their dads after that show. their pain was so real and it wasn't acting--that's what was so hard about it. it's not like they just wrote some character out, he really died. i have not heard one bad thing about john ritter, what a great man he must've been!
