8 Simple Rules- tonight-John Ritter

The final three episodes of 8 Simple Rules… completed by Mr. Ritter will air sequentially beginning with the season premiere on Tuesday, September 23 8/7c. Each of these episodes will open with a special introduction by members of the cast. Future episodes will then take viewers into the Hennessy household as they experience the loss of a beloved father and construct a new life.

WOW that is so sad...I never actually watched the show.....but I used to watch threes company all the time and I have seen John Ritter in many movies....Its very sad to see another good person pass away so young.

I really like that show. I can't wait to see the few this season that he did. I loved him, such a great comedian and actor

It is very sad. They say he was a very nice person to, he always went out of his way for people.
I saw part of an interview with the people from that show and the younger girl couldn't stop crying. I felt so bad for her.

John Ritters death has really affected me....just another untimely death that makes you want to live life to the fullest everyday cause you never know what tomorrow will bring.

I am really going to try towatch that show...I am sure it will be really special.

it's really hitting me hard too... everytime i think about it i cry... and I NEVER cry when celebrities die. i want to see it, but then again i don't cuz i'll be bawling through the whole thing!! I had to shut the tribute show off.

His death has also hit me harder than any other celebrity (sp?)... the tribute show was so sad, I cannot imagine that anyone will be able to laugh at tonight's episode... it's all just very sad.

Jenn, where did you find that article? are they going to have him pass away on the show and think that viewers will still watch it? That's what I got out of that last sentence... anyone know if this show is continuing??

They are actually gonna make his character pass away?

Those poor actors are gonna have to actually act out his death?

They announced it on the radio this morning too - it's going to be VERY sad to watch tonight. I've cried every time they've mentioned his name since his passing.

Cat, I agree WOW is right! I could not imagine having to act that out. In the tribute they were all so sad and now they have to 'live' it... I do not agree with this decision by the network AT ALL!!

I really cannot imagine that his real family is for this.

Tracy, thanks... I did not hear that... I've actually not been paying attention to the media regarding his death... it's something that is very difficult to hear or read about... I can't even watch Three's Company yet, when I hear the song, I get choked up and have to change the channel...

So very sad....

October, I think it was a wonderful decision. It will show a family dealing with a REAL situation, having REAL feelings, instead of all those fluffy sit-com 'problems.' They'll be presenting a situation that many families have to deal with--the death of a parent. I think it's a great idea.
