I thought it would be nice for us 9-11 brides to start our own thread to keep in touch. Anyone want to start out with why they picked the day or where you're up to with your wedding plans?

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
Hello fellow 9/11 brides... why did I pick that date? why not? Sept is a great month weather wise and there were only 2 viable dates for us to get married in Sept and the hall we wanted had that date available so why not celebrate on it? As for what our planning stages... We have... Hall, band, photo/video, officiant, honeymoon, gown, flowergirl dresses, florist... going for invitations this week...what am I missing??

Hey guys are you excited or what; less than 180 days left, it's going to fly Actually, 'JimmysBride'had the ultimate planning list. I attached it here, for you guys. I hope she doesn't mind. Seeing her list has really made me panic. All I have done is Church Reception site Wedding gown (tiara, vail) Bridesmaid dresses (only picked them) Photographer/Video I sent STD's and now I'm working on invites
How's that for behind I 've been sick through most our engagement so it's been pretty difficult to get my planning done. I'm tryingto make the best of it though and stay calm. I have the florist this week, as well as dj, and starting to take BM's for fitting. FYI: 'Things Remembered' has alot of beautiful wedding accessories/bridal party gifts

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
We found our florist We're going with Flowers Michele. I can't wait to see our flowers in person. They sound amazing. John's so easygoing and he just keep shooting all these great ideas at you. Tomorrow we go to Tommy Tunes, and will probably get that done. Hey No Stress, all your biggies are almost done?

I am thinking of not having any limos... I don't really need them... I've decided that me and the girls will get ready at the mansion and the ceremony/reception is all there... I don't think I want to pay for a limo to take me and my FI home... We may just hitch a ride from someone or take the shuttle I arrange for my OOT guests.... It just seems so expensive to hire a limo to just sit there for 3 hrs...

That's a great idea. You'll have so much fun getting ready in a mansion. I booked the dj today. We are using Tommy's Tunes. It should be great. We are also having a steel drum band for the cocktail hour. I just picked out invites with my FSIL. I love them! Did you get anything done this week guys?

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
Hi there, Your honeymoon sounds awesome I was thinking about splitting up the two weeks also, maybe between a week in Sandals St. Lucia, and a week on a cruise. We'll see. I have been so excited the past few days I am so absolutely psyched!!! Can you believe how little time is left. I feel like I just got engaged yesterday.

Re: 9-11 BRIDES

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
Oh wow, you are moving quick. We were engaged in August. We originally planned a 2 year engagement to save money but then some things came up and we had to make it sooner (no I'm not pregnant, lol). We are looking at limos today and going to a Sandals night at one of the travel agencies...I can't wait!

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
Yeah, I didn't want to one day turn around and realize I had nothing planned! I'd rather relax between now and then... We also didn't want a very long engagement, a year max...
Good luck with the travel agent!

Re: 9-11 BRIDES
Welcome Mochabean, I was beginning to think that searsc and I were the only 9-11 brides in the world. Don't worry about getting it all done. It's definitely possible. I will be happy to help you however I can. Just make sure if you plan on having bridesmaid dresses from a bridal store you get them right away, because they can take up to 4 months. Good Luck, Keep in touch
