99 Cent stores can be a great resource!!

Over the weekend FI and I purchased our E-party and wedding favors! We couldn't pass them up! I never thought I would purchase things for my wedding at a dollar store, but FMIL told us of some of the nice things she had found in there. Wouldn't hurt to stop in one if you're on a budget!

my mother bought my shower favors there- they had beutiful candles that were wrapped in cellaphane. It looked like she spent alot of money...

I got the kids at my wedding some activity kits at a dollar store. The loved them! They were making DH and I cards all night and putting them in our birdcage with the guest cards.

what favors did you buy there....
I love to check out there stuff.. because the exact same things people are buying for $2, $3 dollars a favor you can buy for one(same quality and everything(.. and it definately helps the budget...

For our E-party we bought wine glasses that are filled with sea salt, seashells. They are set in a blue gel candle (looks like water). We're taking them out of the boxes and wrapping them with a chiffon material and adding a notecard that has a saying on it and save the date!
For our wedding favors, we bought candles that look like mini-wedding cakes. We'll make up a cute saying and wrap them really pretty. I saw the same ones in a little giftshop by me and they wanted $9 for one!!! Good luck with your treaseure hunting!

Its called 99cent Paradise in the Century 21 shopping center in Westbury.

each glass w/ candle is a dollar? i think i'm confused! Please let me know. I am looking to do something with either wine or champagne glasses and my centerpieces are going to be beach inspired so this my fit in! please let me know. thanks.

oh.... ive been there before i am always tempted to buy the cocacola green tinted glasses from there...

i think i also saw some of those at the .99 store at the source(near old navy on first floor)...

you get a wine glass.inside the glass is the sand and shells then the wick is in it with the gel candle filled up almost to the top of the glass... so the glass is like the candle holder..

gpsyeyes: yes each glass is 99 cents! They're always changing stock. But last week they were big on candles and vases. There are a ton of these stores around, just gotta keep your eye out for them!
