A 12 YR. OLD KIND OF GROSS!! With pics!!!

Ewww!!!! Can you eat it? Thanks for sharing!

No, you can't eat it!!! It's made from old fashioned laundry starch, and white school glue, with food coloring. It actually calls for one drop of food coloring, but Shaun, in his infinite 12 yr. old wisdom, decided to mix four colors, and voila, he got green. He then decide to call it snot, but originally it was harmlessly called 'Super Bubble Ooze, more like a silly putty, but sticky. You can save it and put it into a plastic bag. Last week, Shaun made 'Soda Pop Potion', containing lemon juice, baking soda, confectioners sugar, cold water and food coloring. Shaun declared it tasted terrible!!!!! Even though these 'experiments' make a mess, I want to encourage his scientific curiosity. Since I don't think Shaun will be checking this site out, Aunt Debi, who's in Long Island right now, at Fred's Parents, today, told me she bought Shaun his Christmas present, a kit to make his own volcano!!! There are some edible experiments in the book!!! Mary MOB

Oh, Renay, I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing them!!! At first I thought he had taken one of my gift boxes to make all those pieces, so I asked, and he said he made them from metal, with Pop Pop's help, punching holes etc. I'm telling ya, it's been busy ever since he got here for his overnight!!!!! First he wanted turkey, and he's had about 5 plates now!!!!! Then, he did two experiments, and made his costume. And before eating his final plate of turkey, he was making fake blood with Karo syrup, dripping it on the kitchen floor!! I told him I'll put a lid on the container, and he can take the fake blood to Mom's house!!!!! Why should I be the one with all the fun?!!! Mary MOB

I think it's great that he's exploring his scientific curiosities. Growing up my family was always getting me different science related items, such as a chemistry set and microscope set, that really helped me develop a love for science that lives on with me to today!
