A & B list invitation question

If you have an A and B list when do you send out the invitations to the A list and when do you send out the b list?

For example: wedding date 4/30/06 and must give final head count 2 wks before

Ok counting backwards from April 30, 2006 if you need to have your final confirmed number by April 15th (which is really early) then have the batch B RSVP due date 1 week before the 15th say the Aprith 7th and have the A list RSVP due date March 15th. Send the A list RSVP people out 6-8 weeks before they are due to you - so approximately February 1st you would need to get the A listers out. As the NO's come in from list A send out the people on list B in order of importance to you. Some B list people may never recieve an invite, but then again, that is why they are on the B list.

If you are doing this time line, prepare to set a day or two or three to do the A list mailing. It took me 8 hours to stamp, stuff, seal and send (that is not including addressing time).

Remember to number the back of the RSVP cards and keep a corresponding list so you can see who is coming - in case you cannot read the handwriting.

HI sweetie. I am doing this as well as a few other 06'ers.

My wedding is April 23 and this is what I am doing

A list invites go out Feb 6, rsvp date March 6.

B list we will start sending out as the no's come in, starting around middle of February. the other RSVP date is April 1.

I am having 75 rsvp cards with the A due date, and 25 with the B due date.
