Ok Ive been reading all these posts about how great all the DJ's are/ or are supposed to be but what about a bad DJ? I think that would make my selection a bit easier. I'm sure there are too many good ones to choose from. Please help me narrow my search. THANKS!!!

Re: A bad DJ????
I went to a wedding a few weeks ago that the DJ was horrible. The music played did not have everyone dancing and they were Cheezy. I spoke to the bride and groom; they indicated that they didnt' get to meet the MC or DJ until the day of the wedding to speak about whats going on. I think they went with them for the price.
Another thing you want to look at is the MC make sure that they are well spoken and knows how to handle things properly.
I absolutely loved my DJ and MC from the beginning. I had went to a couple of weddings that they played at and the guest were always up. They were professional and knew exactly what I wanted and what I didn't want.

Re: A bad DJ????
My cousin got married back in July. They hired their DJ based on price for the most part, he was extremely cheap & recommended by their reception site. Big mistake! the best & most current song they played all night long ws the CHA CHA SLIDE!! Nobody danced before/after that & everybody left early.
We refused to choose a DJ who we couldn't see in action somehow - be it at a wedding (only for a few minutes, not staying, eating, etc. at someone else's wedding) or some kinda preview like where they can show you & other potential customers - our DJ was recommended thru our site but we saw them in action & were very pleased. We didn't even consider anyone we couldn't see in action. Good luck.

Re: A bad DJ????
We booked our Dj because other then we thought they were great we saw them at two bridal shows and knew who we were getting. There are alot of companys out there so DONT CHOOSE ONE FOR THE PRICE because its cheapier, because that is what you will get. Also i felt by seeing so many companys dont go with a company if they tell you have 8 or 10 crews going out, because they will treat you as if they are a wedding factory.I noticed the quaility is no where to be found because 9 out of 10 times you wont get who you were told you were going to get.My girlfriend had that problem with a company where she had her wedding at eastwind. And make sure you click with the person you are dealing with your going to be with them for your entire reception.Hope i could help
