A big CHECK but....

I'm really liking all of these checks lately. But anyway...

So FH and I FINALLY booked the church today. I'm actually really happy with the priest. He couldn't have been cooler and made us feel totally at ease. Plus my mom is super happy b/c it's the only church she wanted us to have the ceremony at. When we told him our date, they already had TWO other weddings booked that day so the latest they can have the ceremony is at 2:30. Our cocktail hour starts at 7:00!!! I'm seriously freaking out. Keeping my fingers crossed that maybe, possibly, hopefully my RH can bump it up an hour.

Congrats!!!

As for the times.. I was at a wedding a few weeks back and the break was long, but it gave us time to go home and change and get ready and relax a little... Gives you more tome for pictures...

I wouldn't worry too much about the gap. Some people like to dress more casual to the church and then change, or hang out with whoever theyre friends with in between.

I think theyd have no problem bumping it up as long as there's no day wedding. They say yes to everything I ask, i feel like!

We are in the same situation. Chuch at 2 cocktails at 7. I felt bad at first but realized that I will be able to get so many pictures in with FH and then family without sacraficing my cocktail hour.

Congrats on the check! I wouldn't worry about the gap your guests will have time to relax and you get more time to take pics.

Congrats on the check! I definitely wouldn't worry about the time gap, especially if this is the church you love. We have our ceremony at 2:30 and our CH starts at 7pm and I haven't heard any complaints. I have been to plenty of weddings with large gaps and I have never had a problem.

This! And if you have any OOT guests or guests staying overnight this will give them time to check into the hotel, too. I wouldn't worry. You'll have plenty of time for pics and then plenty of time with your guests! congrats!!

I wouldn't worry about the gap. Our ceremony is at 2pm and our cocktail hour is from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. Guests who live nearby will go home, relax and change and guests who are staying at the hotel can go check in and get ready. Plus, you'll need some in between time to say hello to everyone after church and then for your wedding pictures.
