A Birthday vent- not mine

A Birthday vent- not mine

A friend of mine's birthday is coming up. Her boyfriend asked her what restaurant she wanted to go to and she told him.

Well, he said to her that it has to be during lunchtime because there is a Ranger game that night that he is going to. (he is a season ticketholder) My friend is so not happy now. She expressed to him that she really was looking forward to a romantic night together and it is her birthday- she even secured babysitting for their child. He tells her- I spend every night with you- I am going to the game.

I was so annoyed when she told me this. Its like he just informs her, not even discusses or asks. My husband is REALLY into sports, but on my 30th B-day last year he had a basketball game that he was invited to, he told his friend No-Way!!!!

Sorry had to get this out!!! I know for my own birthday I was invited out for a play and dinner (business related) , but I said no.

That's the part that would annoy me as well - that he didn't care to discuss it with her.

OMG You have me wondering if that is my EX-boyfriend and that is one of he major reasons he is my EX-boyfriend. He was completely absorbed into sports. I cannot tell you how many times he put me to the side for sports, escpecially the Rangers.

Your friend has my sympathy.

This is what I told her to do- knock some sense into him.
