so has anyone attempted their own bikini wax? or Brazilian? and or would you?

i think i might.. for the following reasons

1. im cheap

I would SERIOUSLY advise AGAINST doing that. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for a long time and you really need to build up a tolerance level for the pain. Not something that is going to be easy to do, ESPECIALLY if you are pulling off the wax yourself OUCH!! I totally understand the being shy thing, but just think to yourself that these people do this all the time and its nothing they havent seen before. I personally find it to be less awkward when you go to someone with an accent Dont ask me why, but for some reason it makes me feel better.

ive waxed my own legs and armpits can it really be that bad!?!?!

Okay, I would never do my own only because I get it done professionally and there is NO way I would be able to rip that bad boy off ! My MOH and best friend attempted her own once and she couldnt rip it off, so it stuck to her, it wouldnt even come off with water! I dont even remember how she ended up getting it off!

One of my BM's just told me she did the same thing! For what? The lady I go to is $10 AND I kept my drawers on!

more power to you if you can do it; but i couldnt even do my own legs LOL

i do my own.its not that bad..every few months or so i go and 'get help'

but im licensed to do it so does that make it ok?

i do everything hygenic myself

i even cut my own hair and do my own hilites
i dont trust other people sometimes

I wouldn't do it! I get a completely bare wax done every four to five weeks and would never attempt to do it myself. I can't imagine ripping the wax off myself - it hurts just thinking about it.

Go to a great place in the city - Completely Bare - very hygienic, very professional.
