Went to Barnes & Noble last night after work and looked through all of their DIY wedding books.
Let's just say I don't want to PAY for those books, so I took pics on my phone of some cute invites and centerpieces, and noted all of the websites that the books mentioned in the notepad of my cell phone.
Whatever. The wedding industry can eat my shorts!

my aunts dad goes to b&n and reads books and never buys them... like he leaves a book mark in it.. and leaves them in areas where they shouldnt be... lol...

I bought a couple of those books (at Border's. FH is past B&N employee and they're on my sh*t list). You did the right thing. There's nothing in there that you can't get good advice on by asking here. They do direct you to some great sites, so get a cup o' coffee, take notes and save your $$$!

that is a GREAT idea!!!!!!! FH keeps telling me to buy them.. I'm not paying $40.00 for a planner when I can get 5 books for that price!
