A cruise to nowhere?

What do you guys think of me having my bach party on a cruise to nowhere? Does it sound like a good idea or a disaster?

Sounds interesting.

I'd ask everyone beforehand just to make sure no one gets sick on boats. I get sick, even on giant cruise ships

Thanx ladies, I don't think anyone gets sea sick. I just thought that everything is included and I'm not the stripper bar type.

I think its a great idea... the hard part is making sure you can go on the date, as there are only a few offered a year. The date is why i couldnt do this for my sister's bachelorette party.

We were actually considering doing this for our friend's bach party. I think it's a really cool and different idea. The only reason we didn't go through with it is because her wedding was in November so we thought the weather might be too cold (we had it in early October) and we didn't want to risk any sea-sickness. But it's definitely a fun idea!

I just did one this january and it was fun, you drink and there is gambling and clubs on the boat and stuff. NCL usually does it twice in january. it leaves from the west side.

I did one on NCL in late October about 2 years ago; it was just FH & myself and we had a great time. yes it was very windy & cold during sail away; i had my hoodie on and my hair was blowing like crazy! No one used the pools/hot tubs-way too cool for it. We ate lunch; walked around; then went to dinner. At night we went to the night club. Word of caution-the Cruise to no where (at least ours) went slightly off the atlantic and it was very rough! We were in the night club dancing and then you'd stumble b/c of the pull of the ship. Sitting a the shows were very rocky. I don't get sick by things like that but my sister went with her husband a few weeks before us with warmer weather and even he got sick from the motion!

I thinks it's a great idea. My fiance did it for his best friend's wedding and all the guys had a blast. I might be doing the same thing.

Re: A cruise to nowhere?

I did that cruise out of chelsea piers for my bf bachelorette party... I must admit I was not a big fan of it. here are my reasons why..
1. the workers looked at us and were completely disrespectful because we were young. many times we were over looked to get served.
2. they have a service charge of $12 per guest per room. Which was ridiculous because we were treated so awful they didnt even deserve half of what was charged to our credit card.
3. we made reservation at a restaurant for 18 people. when we got there they told us we all cant sit together.. Well what is the point of a reservation then?!?
4. depending on your group size its hard to make everyone happy. granted the group i went with was rather large and we were all never really together.

hope this helps when thinking about choosing a cruise to nowhere. there were some pro's to going too but these are somethings that you wont know till you experience it.

HTH fm me if you have any questions.
