Just wanted to share my excitement. Last night FI and I were at his friends wedding. I went to catch the bouquet but it flew over my head then bounced off the girl behind me and fell at my feet. I picked it up all excited! Then FI caught the garter!!!! I guess the bouquet toss thing really does work!
Sorry for the silly story but I guess I am just so excited to be getting married!

I caught the boquet at FH's sister's wedding in April (before we were engaged). It just fell into my hands, I didn't even reach up for it. FH did NOT catch the garter and it was the single most embarassing moment of my life as this guy's friends were yelling 'she's a hottie, higher, higher!'
But I guess it does really work....

Its not a silly story. That happend to us and little did i know he had the ring and we got engaged exactly one week later!!

At my cousin's wedding last July (2002) I was debating on whether or not to even stand in the crowd to catch the bouquet. And guess what, I caught it! I thought it came right to me, but everyone thought I pushed everyone over for it. Anyways... needless to say the following June we were engaged. At my engagement party, my cousin made a really nice frame for me with 3 pictures... one of her with the bouquet, another with her throwing it and the last with me catching it. I thought it was sweet. Just wanted to share
