Lately I've been getting a feeling that my Dad wants to help out and give more advice when it comes to wedding decisions. I THINK he wants to do dress shopping with me! I have no problem taking him to maybe 1 or 2 places, but how do the gown shops feel about this? Are Dads allowed to be there?

Re: A 'Dad' Question
I saw men at 2 of the 3 shops I've been to. The second shop it made me uncomfortable because the woman 'helping' me didn't want to be bothered lacing up corset back gowns and apparently also felt clipping them closed was too much of a hassle so often my thonged booty was hanging out of the huge gowns. I wasn't real happy about it, lol.

instead of taking him along for the dress shopping, how about before you buy it, take him back and show him.

Re: A 'Dad' Question
i agree. i know that dads are always going to kleinfelds on say yes to the dress, but the only time i saw a dad dress shopping, the bride had already purchased the gown and she had returned to show her dad and take pics.
on another note, i walked into bridal reflections on saturday with my Bro and FH and the ladies were completely rude to them and wouldnt let them walk past the front desk. (which i understand but no need to be rude. plus they were closing so nobody was there anyway)

Re: A 'Dad' Question
My dad refuses to let me buy a dress without him seeing it. So my plan is to find 'the one' and then before i purchase it, bring him to the store to try on to show him and use his AMEX to purchase!

Re: A 'Dad' Question
My pops 'tagged along' to one store and I didn't know and I was semi-mortified, but there was another Dad there so it was funny

Re: A 'Dad' Question
When i found my dress, i called my Dad and made him come to the store and i wouldnt take the dress off till he got there.. They were not so happy with me at the store because he was golfing way out east and took almost an hour to get there, but i never saw him smile like he did

Re: A 'Dad' Question
I think if you and your Dad are both comfortable with it, then why not bring him? Go for it.
If you're a little weirded out, maybe wait until you've found the one, and go try it on again for him.
