A dedication..

A dedication..

I'm getting married on the 9th, and my parents anniversary is the next day (10th of Sept) i wanted to play their wedding song but i dont want FI family to feel like we did nothing for them..but my parents are helping us out greatly for the wedding. Should it matter?

I don't think that FH's family should be insulted. It happens that your parents have an anniversary the next day. I think its a sweet gesture. If you want, you could tell you FILs that you're planning on doing it and that it is for their anniversary. But I don't see why they should mind.

You should certainly let your FILs know that you're going to do that for your parents. Then ask them if there's anything special going on that you don't know about so you could do a dedication on their side too. I would tell them that you don't want to hurt their feelings and make them feel left out, it's ok to come right out and ask. I think it's better than doing nothing at all if it ends up insulting them. Just my thoughts!!

I wouldn't worry about it. Its your wedding and you want to honor your parents in a special way. I don't think your FILs should get upset.

It will be my grandparents 56th anniversary to the day when we get married so we are doing something small for them. I don't care what anyone thinks and I'm sticking to it!

I would not worry about not doing anything for your FIL's...You are not favoring one side...You are acknowledging your parents anniversary! I don't think you FIL's would even think twice about it!
