The response date passed on Friday and we are still missing about 39 responses. I'm SO frustrated. A lot of the missing ones are from good friends (like the bridal party!) or people who know they cannot come. I mean, seriously, if you know either way, shouldn't you send your response right away? I know I'm preaching to the choir, I'm just so annoyed that I have to call all of these people up and ask them if they're coming to my wedding!

Re: A dissapointing lack of responses
Yeah, I know what you mean. Our RSVP date is today, and we are also missing about 30.
The other disappointing thing is that all of FH family (except immediate family) has responded no, and now we are not going to make our minimum. We invited about 190, and are not going to be able to make a minimum of 140.

Re: A dissapointing lack of responses
We ended up having to email and call people even before our RSVP date arrived.......we were missing a lot too. Most people just put it aside and literally forget to send the RSVP - I got a lot of 'Oh, I thought I sent it already'
People just need a reminder. I wouldn't wait any longer - call/email people ASAP!

YES people are RUDE I had to email my cousins and BRIDAL party to have them send int there RSVP and I am still wating for one of them to come back, and a few other RSVP's as well. Just make a list give then another day or 2 and start calling them or have your mom call that is all you can do
GOOD luck

Re: A dissapointing lack of responses
My wedding is 18 days away. I still have 6 RSVP cards floating out there in the world. I have called and yes I know their response, but send your card back. Okay, Okay I know I am not getting them back at this point. It's rude, obnoxious and just wait until your wedding or your kids, cause pay back is ohhhhh sooooo swweeeeet. (Not that I am i bitter )
Seriously though, I guess people don't realize the work brides put into the invitations. I know for me it was the most stressful part of my planning. To send back a card that has already been provided a stamp does not seem like a difficult task. Look in your little black book are you available, check yes, check no and send back...done.

Re: A dissapointing lack of responses
I ended up having to follow-up on about 12 non-responders. I took the opportunity to pour on the guilt.

GRRRRRR - we're having the same problem. Still missing about 30 responses, although they have a few more days. And we are actually getting more no's or people not bringing a date - it turns out we'll about 25 people fewer than we thought. It's somewhat disappointing
