so i was wondering when to send out Save the dates?
and when should we start registering?

Save the Dates - I believe rule of thumb is 8-12months beforehand
Registry - Whenever....however, my friend works at BBB and she said that sometimes they discontinue patterns and things like that, so they recommend 6 months before your shower.

As for Save the Dates I bought them already so I think I might send them out sooner than 12 months.

Im sending out the save the dates more then a yr before because his friends and family are little social butterflies...for the e-party his mom insisted (aka-annoyed us until we said yes)that we had to invite 15 of her friends and only 2 are coming!!! So if thats an example of what is going to happen at the wedding my minimum is going to be trouble so I dont want anyone to be able to say they already have plans

Yeah, I don't know if I can hold out for a year. We'll see. I already sent one out to my cousin in FL since a mutual friend will be getting married around the same time. Wanted to make sure she knew everything was all set on my end as far as a date.

i am sending my save the dates probably 8 months before my wedding...as far as for the registry i am not sure yet!! maybe when FH and I have an apartment or a house so we know how to select better

not sure about the save the dates yet. most likely a year before.
registering we will do once my sister starts nagging at me to do it. however since am graduating college in june it wont be until after that.

Mine wedding is still 2 years away but we are sending out Save the Dates out around December along with Christmas Cards since a lot of family will require travel plans... and I think it's just a nice touch with the x-mas card.

STD i am doing a year before since its summer and i want to make sure people dont plan vacations and miss it.
I already have a registry. some relatives requested that we have one for our engagement party. you can update it online. we also buy stuff off of our own regstry sometimes lol

I dont know about save the dates. I am crazy so I will probably send mine out more than a year before.
I plan to start registering before the end of October. That way I can maybe get stuff for Xmas. It is never to early to register, if you change your mind you can always change it on line.
