A Formal Affair

Hubby and I are invited to a wedding next weekend at the watermill and on the invite it says A Formal Affair, Do I need to get a tux for my DH, or is a suit appropriate?

I think a dark suit is appropriate.

Don't quote me but I think that is another formal wording for black tie (if your not sure maybe you could ask someone in the wedding party who might know)
