A gift for a one year old?

Ok mommies, need some help. Our niece is turning 1 next week and we still haven't come up with a great gift for her. I've gotten little things, but we need something big (or lots of smaller things?)

Any good ideas for what a 1 year old really wants/needs?

I am not a mommy, but my niece just turned 1 on Sunday and I figured I'd tell you the kind of things she got!

She got a lot of fall/winter clothes - 24 mos...mostly from Babies R Us and The Gap. She got the Fisher Price house, the Fisher Price Aminal Farm, puzzles, books, oh and this drum that was the biggest hit with all the kids and a gift many adults had apparently been seacrhing for:



She also got a Hungry Hippo scooter, another big scooter (I'll attach a pic of that too), Limbo Elmo, Baby Cookie Monster, Baby Einstein DVD's (for 1 year olds that teach shapes, colors & numbers - I can't remember the name), Fisher Price Rock & Play Piano, a table and chairs (by Little Tikes...plastic, and cute!) and a Kitchen set!

My brother and SIL bought her a swingset for the backyard.

ooh the scooter and the toy box sound great. they're moving into a house next month so they'll have room (and need) both of those!

I just got Luke the buggy in the picture and I definitely recommend it. It's great for their age.

look for the 1 year gifts from Leaping Frog (I think thats the name)...they have some fun 'educational' stuffed toys that are really cute...
