A goal I just set for the wedding...

I set a goal for me and FH to have the big everythings (Flowers, Photographer, DJ, Limo) booked by Valentine's Day. Alot of people get engaged then and and there will probably be a huge 08 wedding rush around that time so I want to make sure I get the vendors I want for my date!!!

I agree....I think my flowers will probably wait, but the band and photog I want to have booked by Valnetine's day too. My eparty is the 17th so then at least we can get our SH*T together by then

Me too! My wedding is a few months after yours but I'd rather get my first choice! I'm working lots of extra shifts in January before school starts so that I can make all my down payments too!

Great idea to set a goal. I just called my FH and he agrees. I dont know about Valentines Day for us b/c of money and all. But if I can get the photographer done and DJ appointments I will be quite happy.

I think were going to do the same thing. We took a break for now casue of the holidays but will start again after the new year.

I'd like to start looking for a DJ. Possible one that has live musician for ceremony and CH. Keep it simple by booking one vendor that way but not essential. The problem is there are so many to look at!

I totally agree. I really dont know where to start. I think I want DJ Live. although my parents are helping with the wedding and they want a band. I just hate that if they play DMB it just wont sound the same.

OK so for DJs how many can you meet with a day? How much time do you spend with them when you make your first apponitment?????????

Great idea to set a goal. I just called my FH and he agrees. I dont know about Valentines Day for us b/c of money and all. But if I can get the photographer done and DJ appointments I will be quite happy.

I'm sure vendors will work with you with your deposits and everything if you are a little tight on money. Many vendors I've heard are willing to do a payment schedule. It's worth a shot
