Can someone please recommend a good NY wine (doesn't have to be expensive)? Dedecakes post about the wine ceremony inspired me!
I would like to use a California and a New York wine to symbolize FH and I coming together. He's from NY and I'm from CA and we have spent most of our 3 1/2 year relationship 3,000 miles apart. I think the two wines together would be the perfect way to symbolize us coming together in marriage and also FINALLY LIVING IN THE SAME STATE!!! The same house actually... EVEN BETTER!

Re: A Good NY Wine?
I studied New York wines in college (random I know) and a favorite of mine is Hermann Wiemer dry riesling. It is really an excellent wine. There is good chardonnay from Long Island as well.

Pindar - Red: sweet scarlet blush: spring splendor white: johannessburg reisling (all can be found in local liquor stores)
Pugliese: I love their riesling Francesca i think its called? (only in the vineyard i think)
Laurel Lake: great riesling, but i'm usually to drunk by this point to tell the difference b/t the reds
Your best bet, go to the liquor store and ask what the reccomend.....buy a few bottles and have a fun night!

I like Duckwalk Pinot Grigio a lot. Also they have a couple of great reds - if you join their club you get 20% off each case.

I like Duck Walk Southampton White -- it's super inexpensive and great for the summer.

Hey! I'm glad that I ispired you! ;) I would go out east and do some wine tasting!!! My FH's parents make their own red and white wine, so we are going to use their wine. It could be my 'something borrowed', hehe.
