My sister's Mom's Club chapter did their 'SErvice Project' yesterday. (It's a club thats run alot like a club in school, SAHM's getting together for fun, and also doing one Service Project (or more) per year.
Well yesterday, they went to a local nursing home in Queens, and spent a few hours with the kids and the elderly playing, painting, hired an entertainer, etc.
Here are some heartwarming pics... Im so proud of my nieces and nephew (and my sister of course, and the whole club..!) You might recognize them in a few pics
Anna that is beautiful. I remember when I was in junior high, we went to a local nursing home and sang Xmas songs. I can still remember the smiles it brought.

How sweet!!!
I visit my DH's Grandmother in a nursing home every couple of days. It's very depressing. I'm sure the club made them all feel very special!!!

Awww, those pics are great. Looks like a good time was had by all.
how wonderful...my old roommate teaches her class (1st grade) songs and each month they would sing them at a local nursing home...

So sweet...I say ALL the time that time spent around little ones can be THE BEST medicine for the elderly. I know my grandparents completely forget everything that ailes them when one of their great-grandchildren are around!
