a lil sad

a lil sad

sooo we all know teenage relationships normally don't last (kudos to the ladies marrying their high school sweethearts...you beat the odds!!) and this morning I found out that my younger brother broke up with his girlfriend of over a year.

I really liked her (she was at my shower and many many family fuctions) and I'm really sad that they broke up. I spoke to my brother this morning and he sounded really sad, he said he didn't feel the same about her anymore and he didn't want to jerk her around or lead her on so, he did do the right thing. He was really worried about the way she reacted, I told him that she'll be thankful one day that he was a man about it....and that she'll be okay eventually.

I dunno....it makes me sad, it's almost like all those feelings that I felt when boys broke up with me came back and I feel so terribly for them both.

anyone else experience this??

My lil cousin just broke up with her BF of 2 years. Her 1st BF and she found out that he's been cheating on her the entire 2 years! I was so heart broken for her.

I felt the same way when my cousin broke off her engagement. I felt like the guy was already part of the family (they had dated 6 or 7 years) and I actually missed him during family functions that year.

There's no rule that says you can't remain friends with the girl. We actually all kept in touch with my cousin's ex and every now and then we run into him at a party or whatever. He's still a good person -- just not good for my cousin.

I know that it probably is for the best. My dad just called me and he's just concered that his friends had a hand in this (which annoys me, but I won't get involved). It came as a real shock since they were pretty much attached at the hip and they got along great but I know that as you get older your personality and lots of other things change so at least he didn't do what alot of guys do and drag it out.

I just remember the breakup with my first serious boyfriend being a really harrowing experience and it upsets me that they have to go thru this.......but it's a part of life and mostly everyone goes thu it at some point.

Thanks for sharing your experiences ladies

Awww...sorry about your brother's break up. It was probably best if he wasn't felling the same for her. But hey you never know they could always get back together after they have some time apart if they are really meant to be together.
