I went to my first dress fitting...sorry no pics :( I did buy a crinoline (sp?) slip...but I don't know if I actually need it. Do you have to wear a slip?
I don't think so. It probably has some tulle for support already in the dress

Re: A line dress and slip
I was not going to get a slip, but then the woman at the place where I got my dress pointed out that if I didn't wear one, my dress might go in between my legs when I am walking.
So, I ended up getting an A-line slip.

Re: A line dress and slip
the lady at my dress shop said the same thing - about the dress getting caught up between your legs while walking/dancing.
Then I put on a slip, and almost cried...it was so much nicer, because it held out the bottom of my dress (not too much) just enough so you could see all of the detail on the bottom. Without the slip, the dress kinda folded over itself at the bottom (know what I mean?)
Def. try it with a slip!

First let me say your dress is gorgeous! I would probably wear the slip. I would try it on and walk in the dress for a little while, and try it on without. It is all in how you feel.

I wore a slip for extra poof. It's really up to how pouffy you would like your dress to be.

Re: A line dress and slip
Thanks for all the replies :) The slip is not puffy, it just opens up the bottom of the dress a little. I didn't even think about the dress going between my legs while I was walking, interesting point. I guess I could always choose not to wear it that day...but I will try walking around with in first. As always you gals always have great advice

Same thing for me.

Re: A line dress and slip
I think it would be fine without it. Mine is a little bit fuller and I liked it with and without the crinoline.
