A little bummed

I know, I know I shouldn't but TWO of my really good friends from college (part of 'my girls') aren't coming to my shower and my other friend & BM was like 'don't even get me started on their excuses' & then says that one of the girls excuses doesn't even work anymore b/c it did involve her boyfriend who she is no longer dating. I don't expect everyone to be able to come, don't get me wrong but I'm just a little bummed/hurt that they have lame excuses.

I don't know...maybe I'm being over emotional about the whole thing.

No... it's totally fine to Vent.

It totally stinks though that they aren't coming to your Shower.

Maybe there's more to it then you're hearing. As long as they're at your wedding...

Vent away hun! I can totally underatand why you're sad about it. Even though you know they cant all come, it kind of still s u c k s when they finally say they cant AND have a completely lame excuse

Sorry they won't be there , but maybe they'll change their minds and come in the end.

Yeah I'd be bummed too. Don't read too much into it tho because it is coming from another source and emotions get involved when that happens.

I am going through this too.. My girls are from different states and they claim that it is hard to make both the RD and the bachlorette party....When I asked them to be in the wedding, they had the opportunity to say NO....I know how you are feeling....

I was totally bummed - only 3 out of my 7 BM's showed up (one lives in Colorado so that was OK and the other lives about 5 hours away upstate NY so that was OK) But it still suucked!

I missed them all so much. They day was beautiful anyway but I understand your pain!

that's sad..... I know my MOH won't be able to come becuase she's in portland, but I'm hoping that 'my girls' will all be there (friends for almost 25 years).

If their excuses are lame, it likely is becuase they are a bit jealous, and wished they were getting married or in a happier relationship. Cut them a bit of slack. Weddings have a way of bringing all insecurities to the surface of close friends and families.

It still is not right, though.... I was in some really bad relationships yet managed to be happy and participate in my friends showers/ weddings... but I guess everyone is different.....
