A little bummed about my Mom

Girls I am a little bummed out about my Mom. She has a disease called Interstatial Cystitis. It is chronic disease that makes the lining of the inside of your bladder inflamed and painful. She has been in pretty bad pain for months now. Anyway, my MOH is coming up to NY for a trip this coming week and we are going to go into RK bridal to try on this dress I love (Rk is the only store in NY that has it.)

So I talked to my Mom tonight about it and she said she isn't up to going. I'm not mad at her about it, just sad I guess. As soon as I got back to my apartment, I started crying.

I know it is such a small thing, and I'll get over it, I just feel bad about it right now.

awwww. that really stinks. I understand how you must feel.. Hey.. you never know.. she may feel better by the time you are ready to go and may change her mind. stay positive..

I know!

I feel really bad for her. The disease has no cure and it doesn't get much attention because not many people get it. they think it may be from having a lot of UTi's when she was younger.

She is seeing a new specialist soon and I am hoping he can help her.

I am sorry...I am sure that your mom is sad about this too...I hope she gets better in time

I'm dreading the day when I start to look at dresses. My mom has a very rare type of cancer and will be starting treatment in mid October which includes chemo. I'm at a loss myself. I want her to be there, but know she'll be worn out from treatment.

Wow. I am so sorry. I'll be thinking about your Mom.

I'm going to take everyone's advice and try to take some pictures. Maybe you should do the same. then you can go and show them to your mom so it's almost like she was there.

Well my mom still has til mid October with her meds before she starts treatments in the hospital so I think I'm going to start with the dresses at the end of this month and into next. I just want her to be there. When she starts treatment she'll be in the hospital for 3 weeks then it's months of recovery. There are some friends of mine that I haven't even told about what's going on just because I don't like talking about it. It's so much easier to get out on here.

You should definitly go now if your Mom is up to it.

It's good that you have a place to vent.
