a little depressing poll... sorry

Which poem do you like best for Fh's Mom's memorial candle. I tried asking him but he doesn't really like to think/talk about this so he just asked me to do it.

1.
We thought of you with love today.
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart..

2.
If roses grow in Heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for a while.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it everyday,
But there is an ache within my heart
Becasue I'm missing her today

3.
We little knew that morning,
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

I'd choose one because it sounds much more uplifting than the other two.

I know if I were reading the other two I'd ball out. lol. That's so sweet though.

#3 is def a little harder to read.

the last 2 are beautiful but very emotional - I do like the wording on them but I don't know if I would put it at a wedding because everyone probably would be crying - I say 1.......do you have others you can choose from?

I found a site with a lot of memorial poems but they were very long it has to fit on a candle so I can't choose a very long one bc we also want her name on it and a small design

I don't remember, are you guys doing a program too? If so you could always put something shorter on the candle and something a little longer in the program w/a pic.

That's a nice idea... we are doing programs and plan to have the candle at the church and the candle and picture at the RH. No picture at the church bc we feel it will be to sad to have his family stare at ther picture during the ceremony.

Yes..

here's my struggle I think I like #1's wording best but I love that #2 is specifically for a mother.

3 too sad for me.
