A little disappointed

I just got a letter from my church that said

The Diocesan Department of Risk Management has informed us that the use of runners down the center of the aisle is a safety issue and the practiced needs to be discontinued by the church.

I was looking forward to an aisle runner with our monogram!

oh well

If it hasnt been banned from your church already , it will before your wedding! Im sorry to put a damper but it is going to be as mandatory as pre cana soon.

I don't really care about having a monogram on the aisle as much as I care about getting my white dress dirty!

ehhh big deal. Just think about the money your saving.

As far as your dress getting dirty, you'll already have walked out of your house and into the church. If it's going to get dirty, it will probably get dirty there.

wow, how strange! I'd think that runners are safer than not having one but I guess rules are rules, specially if u wanna use a specific church.

The bottom of your dress is gonna get dirty anyway. Walking once up and down the aisle isn't going to do too much damage,

More and more churches are adopting this policy for liability reasons, so I guess the diocese are realizing they should make it a blanket policy. Sucks

Most Churches Don't allow runners...My church wont even allow flower petals they said its a slip and fall hazard..

I was disappointed too its stinks =( I really was upset about the pedals I wanted the pick that is in BNW and the pedals in color

That's very disappointing, I too wanted the pretty monogrammed aisle runner. The manual I got from my church said no runner, but the priest said ok. Now I'm not so sure I should even buy one.
