a little nervous...flower related

This may seem really rediculous and paranoid, but...

Recently I have been noticing more lavender roses in the stores (food stores) and have been noticing that they seem to wilt fast. I was looking at a few bo-ks that had different color roses in them and the lavender were wilted while the others were still nice looking. I am getting nervous because the majority of my flowers are lavender roses. I know this is a popular color for spring/summer weddings, so ladies, what are your experiences?

I would not look at flowers in the store and judge your wedding flowers by them. Who the hell knows how fresh those flowers are? Don't go crazy worrying over it. Your flowers will be gorgeous. I love lavender roses

Re: a little nervous...flower related

All of my centerpieces are lavender roses. You can never judge by what you see in the stores. Those flowers were probably sitting around for 2 weeks. The ones you will get will be fresh and will only have to stay fresh for your special day. I think lavender roses are beautiful which is why I chose them. A lavender rose stays good for as long as a pink or white rose, but is only a different color. In fact, I would think you would notice wilting less on a darker rose?

Although flowers in the supermarket look pretty right away, they tend to not last as long as flowers from a florist (which is shown in the price difference). I'm sure you will be fine!
