A little panicked
Okay, so a little back story, FH and I work for the same agency and he has been there about 8 years. Our program manager is the biggest a$$hole around, to be blunt. He's been on FH back since he started in the position (FH was at the agency first) and FH feels like he's gonna get fired if he stays.
So today FH comes up to me and tells me that our program manager has pissed him off for the last time and he's quitting. I of course try to rationalize the situation and talk to him about our expenses, etc. but then I realize how unhappy he has been, so I told him that I support his decision no matter what and that we're in this together... not even 5 minutes later he texts me that he handed in his letter of resignation!!!![]()
He will still work for 2 weeks, get a 2 week pay-out of his vacation time, and stay on per diem, so that's still 3 pay checks coming in, but he doesn't have another job lined up! I know that he will find something, at least I hope, and everyone keeps telling me not to worry but I REALLY am. It's just such bad timing with a wedding and all of our other bills, oh and me going part time at work bc of grad school!
Sorry, just had to vent. I knew I was on a streak that was too good to be true. Please send your 'get a job quick' thoughts my way!!!!!
