I sent my invitations out on Saturday Morning. I told them to hand cancell them, and the woman at the post office said she would.
I get home yesterday and I have relatives calling my house telling me they received it and how beautiful it is. I come to find out that some of the inviations were run thru the machine and have the stupid black tire mark looking stamp across my inviation.
Girs-please make sure you stress it to the post office when you go.

One way to avoid this - ask to do it yourself. I did mine and it took about 10 minutes for 90 invites.

the same thing happened to me. i sent my first batch to get hand cancelled and they told me they would do it but never did. after that, i jsut dropped the rest off in the regular mailbox. hand cancelling didnt become much of a big deal after that

i did mine myself also. unless u do it yourself, or watch them stamp it there are no guarantees.

i just posted about this - so the tire stamp is when its NOT hand cancelled, ugh, ill have to make sure i go to a post office that lets me hand cancel them myself

when it is hand cancelled there is a circle with the date on it over the stamps & thats it, nothing on the bottom of the invite.

Mine were hand cancelled and then put through a machine anyway. The only time the don't go through a machine at all is when they are too big to fit. That is what the post office told me and I watched them hand cancel them.
