a little too excited

So since we just booked our RH, FH and I are so excited. We're ready to go booking/reserving other things as well. So today I figure I'm going to be ahead of the game and I'll book my church. This is the same church I made my communion, alter served at and made my confirmation at.

Here's how it went:

*Ring ring ring*
Woman: Hello St. Francis.
Me: Yes, I'm getting married and I would like to book the church for our day.
Woman: Okay what's the day.
Me: May 19th.....2012
Woman: Ohhh uhm.............we don't even have our 2011 calendars yet. Give us a call back early next year.
Me: DOH!

hahahahaha!

I guess I'm a little ahead of the game here. Oh well might as well relax for a few months.

What are you ladies booking this far in advance?

LMAO! same thing happened with me!

But they took my name and put all my info in a black and white book so when they do get the book, its prepared and booked!

LOL! This has been happening to me too... I am not getting married in a church but with other vendors. The worst is when I tell someone when my wedding is and they say, oooooh that's so far away, you have plenty of time! Or they give me a look like, why are you trying to plan NOW? Haha so annoying.

I've gotten the 'ohhh it's a little early isn't it?' to which I respond with my death stare hahahaha. I kid I kid. I actually respond with 'a little here a little there keeps this bride from ripping out her hair.' Frank from the Watermill liked that one.

I love the thought of booking early. I feel like we'll have less stress.

I hate the 'you have plenty of time' response.. really its gonna go from 'you have plenty of time' to 'you have no time' fast!

Besides its always good to be ahead!
