A little upset

My dress came in early and I went on Saturday to pay the balance and have a 'pre fitting.' Well I was not happy. I did not lose a lot of weight but my dress was huge! I think it was ordered a size to big. There are so much alterations that need to be done because the top of the dress was so big. They said I should come in 5 weeks before the wedding for my first fitting. They said they could fix it but I am afraid they may not be able to fix it and it is going to cost a fortune in alterations. Did anyone else have this problem? I keep seeing other people's post that not many alterations need to be done with their dress.

dont worry if they say they can fix it they can!!
i know it ***** tho paying for all the alterations...but do your dress shop have a cap??
some places to that way it wont be more than the cap!

i found out when my girls ordered their dresses, that some were a size 2 on bottom, but a size 6 on top (according to the meaurements they take)...so maybe they had ordered the dress for the larger portion of your body, so that they could take in for the smaller portion? that sounds like what may have happened....either way, you're going to look awesome, and that's all that matters!! :)

First off dont worry.

There should be a cap on alterations at your salon.

TALK TO THEM before you have any work done on the dress. Let them know your concerns and how you are feeling. If they are good they will be able to walk you through it and tell you UP FRONT how much the alterations will cost.
