A little Vent!!!

Well I never vent on here, but I really dont know who to vent to because the people i would normal go to are the ones im venting about.

Anyways, yesterday my dad went for quadruple bypass surgery(he's doing good) and my friends all knew, and not one of them even bothered to call me or EVEN text me to see how he was doing. I mean i understand everyone has their own things, but would it really hurt to send a text asking me. FH's sister even texted me later in the day to ask me, but my own friends didnt even. It just hurts.

unfortunately 'friends' are that way. everyone always thinks, oh someone else will do that.

at least you can count on your family to support you.

I guess i understand, but when my friends gma was in the hospital i called or texted her every day just to see how she was doing. it takes what 1 minute to send a text?!?!?

If this were me, I'd be SUPER pissed! No wonder you're venting!

You could take this opportunity and make your close friend feel reallllly guilty about not asking. If you're talking to one of them on the phone, tell her/him to hold on and pretend someone asked you how your Dad is doing and then say, 'Thank you for asking! He's doing well!'

See what happens.
