A Morning Story
I have been with my FH for about 13 years now. We even have a 6 year old son.He had proposed to me after like 3 years and of course I started planning immediatly.
I was getting married at the Cresthollow and had everything single detail booked planned and done when I chickened out.
I got cold feet and couldnt go through with it.
Mind you, this was a wonderful man and we had an awesome relationship. He was good to me and my descion had NOTHING to do with him.
2 weeks before my affair I cancelled, all 200 of my guests were called and all my parents money was gone.
I still think that if I was having second thoughts that I did the right thing, but when I think of how many ppl I hurt just because I had wedding jitters It makes me sick
ANYWAYS.. I guess I have grown up and realized that there is nobody who is going to love me as this man does and since I was lucky enough to have him take me back.. I wanted to give him what I couldnt back then.. a wife..
Afterliving together now for a year I'm really going to do this..and this time It feels perfect ;-)
I picked my date cause I thought it would give me 3 months to whip somethings together, but my dinner for 10 ppl turned into a dinner for 50 with flowers and pictures and music and vidio etc,,,
7 weeks away and I have almost everything done.
Just a few last details like Uhmm find another florist maybe? heh
Thats why I also picked a thursday night.. I knew that more ppl would be able to work with me in such little time, becuase honestly it's not saving me a penny.
I was just feeling like sharring my story with all of you..
Thank you for all you help.. It has made my planning that much easier on me
Phew, ok... back to planning
Jodi

Re: A Morning Story
Jodi,I can relate to you. Me and husband met 12 years ago. We did split up for a year and a half in between. He gave me a ring many years ago and for my own issues I didnt move through with the planning. We got married last month. I will tell you that it makes your day all the more special. Lots of luck to you with the planning and a wonderful wedding day!

Re: A Morning Story
I applaud you for your courage to cancel the 1st wedding. The time was not right for you and you did the right thing. Many girls feel just like you did and go through with their weddings only to end their marriages in divorce.I also think it is great that you and your FH were able to work things out, talk, and figure out how to make the relationship work.
Enjoy your big day.
