A Much Happier Announcement..

Hi Ladies,

First I want to thank all of you for your wonderful emails, FM's and kind word of support and encouragement, I have to say I honestly didn't think the last days before my wedding would be this stressful or this dramatic or this emotionally draining.

Michael and I have decided to proceed with the wedding, it was not easy, alot of things had to be honestly discussed, one of them being NO more hiding our real feelings, and NO MORE letting our parents get involved when they really have no business doing so (this is not something I can explain freely here, but needless to say a certain parent hurts more than they help!, just a mini vent, one day I will explain all I promise!)

As an aside, I really want to say ladies who are getting married in church, really engage yourself and your FH at pre-cana, most people think, oh man why do I have to do this?? it will be so boring?? I have more important things to do, I will be honest and say, some parts are boring, some parts are things we know already but the part on communication, communication styles (female vs male) I have to tell you I really wish Michael and I had taken it long ago, I really think it would have saved alot of the pain we recently went through.
One of the speakers also does marriage counseling one on one, and we think we will be seeing him again, FH doesn't deal with stress well at all, he just doesn't have the skills, and this counselor also does stress management training for Nassau County so I really think he can help us both together and apart for FH.
